Ingredients
- 1 cup Flour Unbleached or All-Purpose
- 1/2 cup Whole-Wheat Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Ginger
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cloves
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Cayenne
- 2 Large Eggs lightly beaten
- 2/3 cup Buttermilk
- 1/2 cup Pure Maple Syrup
- 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 tbsp Blackstrap Molasses

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter an 8 ½ inch by 8 ½ inch baking pan. Sift together all of the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Set aside. In another bowl, blend the remaining ingredients. Make a well in the dry mixture and stir in the liquids, just until smooth; do not beat. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes, until a tester emerges clean. Cool in the pan. We have many more Maple Recipes featuring maple products.
